DRAIN LINES

PVC drain lines can get clogged due to various reasons, including hair, soap scum, grease, fat, oil, food particles, foreign objects, and mineral buildup. Professional maintenance can prevent and also help catch these issues before they become significant problems, resulting in ceiling damage and water leaks!

To ensure proper installation of HVAC drain lines, Ensure the drain line has a minimum slope of 1/8" per foot from the condensate pan to the external drain point to facilitate proper water flow. Install a P - trap to prevent sewer gases from entering the HVAC system. It’s recommended to consider installing an overflow drain pan as a backup in case the condensate line gets clogged.
